In this decanter design, a square-shaped floating unit moves up and down along a frame mounted on the tank edge, following the changing water level. Decanted, treated water is removed through a plastic hose connected to the floating body.
How it works
The frame and the floating body are made of welded steel. The floating body has two positions in relation to the water surface: the "park" position is held by delivering and keeping pressurized air under the decanter; the decanting position is reached by releasing the trapped air. The upper end position is determined by detent pins, the lower by the length of two link chains. When it reaches the upper position, the decanter acts as an emergency overflow.
