The eternal dilemma: intermittent or continuous flow? – A new study published by UTB

So goes the question that is which system can better manage the unexpected and extreme hydraulic loads? Which technology ensures that the valuable activated sludge is retained in the system, still, ensure sufficient wastewater treatment efficiency?
We presented two case studies as answer to these questions in a study published in the December issue of the Hungarian Water and Wastewater Fellowship (MASZESZ) monthly newspaper.

In the study extensive analysis of qualitative and quantitative parameters eg. loads and water quality indicators from 2015 to 2016, of two CYCLATORTM wastewater treatment plants operated in Hungary are presented highlighting the technology’s excellent efficiency that can be still maintained in rainy seasons at areas specifically affected by inland inundations.
